Overview
This three-hour course reviews an exciting new technology that is on the horizon as a potential heating and power supply system for residential homes. The concept of a micro-combined heat and power system (m-CHP) uses a small generator on-site that generates electricity and then uses the waste heat from the generator to heat and cool the home. This course includes an overview of the m-CHP concept, a discussion of the types of prime movers used for the energy source, and a review of how the waste heat can be used in the home.

- Know the potential barriers to the full scale implementation of m-CHP

- Understand the purpose of desiccant dehumidifiers
