Subject Matter Expert: Ronald Miller, P.E., MBA, CEM, REP
In Battery Electric Vehicle Meets the Clean Energy Challenge (Video On Demand), you'll learn ...
- The minerals required for a BEV, both types, source countries, source market share, prices, and volume
- The impact of BEV on electricity generation, transmission, and distribution in the U.S.
- The global leader in BEV production, their incentives and advantages
- A comparison of the emissions from both BEV and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles
Overview
This course includes a data and fact-based overview of the clean energy challenge as the world makes an energy transition to both renewable energy generation and electric vehicles. It is led by an expert with over 40 years technical, strategic, and financial experience in the energy sector.
Topics covered include clean energy mineral sourcing, concentrated mineral market share, future price increases to supply the market, and its global economic impact.
The course is designed to provide more in-depth knowledge of the future challenges of securing the clean energy minerals needed to support battery electric vehicles (BEV).
Specific Knowledge or Skill Obtained
This course teaches the following specific knowledge and skills:
- The minerals required for a BEV, both types, source countries, source market share, prices, and volume
- The impact of BEV on electricity generation, transmission, and distribution in the U.S.
- The global leader in BEV production, their incentives and advantages
- Where does mineral mining and recycling in clean energy minerals fit
- A comparison of the emissions from both BEV and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles
Video on Demand
This course is a recorded version of a live lecture and will be streamed directly to your computer's media player. Our format is generally compatible with media players included with all computers and mobile devices. After watching the video presentation, you will return to your account to take the online quiz. While this is a recording of a live presentation, please note that this recording will not qualify as a "live" or "interactive" continuing education activity in those jurisdictions where it is required.
Certificate of Completion
You will be able to immediately print a certificate of completion after passing a multiple-choice quiz consisting of 10 questions. PDH credits are not awarded until the course is completed and quiz is passed.
