Overview
This course is for engineers in all fields of engineering. It is an introductory course into the use of Python for solving engineering problems. You do not need prior knowledge to write code but it helps. You do not need to install Python on your computer but you can. Python can be used in your browser to write code.
Python is one of the top ten computer programming languages. It is an interpreted high-level general purpose programming language. Python is easy to learn but you can really get deep into Python. It is cross platform and open source. Python can be integrated with other programming languages. It can be used in machine learning as well as computer graphics. It can even be used in web development. It can be used in many ways by engineers.
We will be using several intergraded development environments (IDE’s) to write code. We will cover the basics of Python coding. We will be using several libraries, packages, and modules to write code for several engineering problems. We will even write code for a graph. We will cover how to make your own module.
