This four-hour course will help those assigned to take a principle role in an organization's change initiative to develop a useful, step-by-step strategy for change. It provides a broad understanding about the nature of change, tips on developing a heart-engaging vision statement designed to mobilize the workforce toward the desired future, how to determine an organization's readiness for change, how to build momentum with the change and preserve results after it is over.

This course will help you and your employees develop a survival plan for upcoming changes in the workplace. Whether the change involves new technology, a new location, a new employer, or a whole new career, this course will help you assess objectively the skills, abilities, and values within you that can make success a reality.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Analyze past change events to identify the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that can support future change.
  • Identify the "changeless core" within yourself in preparation for future change.
  • Adopt a "temp’s attitude" when searching for work.
  • Explain why some organizations grow stronger through change while others atrophy and fail.
  • Apply the "Stockdale Paradox" to changing circumstances.
  • Implement a "blueprint for change" effectively in your life or within your workgroup.
  • Assess objectively the existing talent available within yourself or your workgroup.
  • Obtain feedback from employees about your skills and abilities.
  • Conduct a SWOT analysis to develop a strategy for the future.

Certificate of Completion

You will be able to immediately print a certificate of completion after passing a multiple-choice quiz consisting of 25 questions. PDH credits are not awarded until the course is completed and quiz is passed.
