Jack Alexander Goode II, P.E., PTOE

Jack Alexander Goode, II, P.E., PTOE is a traffic/transportation engineer with over 25+ years of experience managing and designing transportation projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. His project management and design expertise has included conducting comprehensive traffic studies and analysis for crash/safety, roadway corridors, traffic signal timing/optimization, signal warrants, roundabouts, capacity/congestion mitigation, bike/ped safety and mobility, field investigations, data collection, and reviewing developer/project milestone plans.  His other responsibilities have included the development of report preparation, geometric and traffic engineering design/inventory for traffic signals, pavement markings, signage, maintenance of traffic, and safety improvement concepts utilizing Microstation.

Mr. Goode participates in a multitude of project-related meetings and engages in public outreach initiatives delivering presentations addressing issues related to traffic and safety concerns.  He possesses an in-depth understanding of traffic engineering standards and guidelines established by Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), AASHTO, federal MUTCD, and other state/county/city transportation departments.  He is versed in various traffic programs such as Synchro/SimTraffic, Sidra, and HCS. Mr. Goode teaches Virginia DOT work zone traffic control classes to field personnel of multiple firms.  

Mr. Goode is a member of the ITE Washington DC Section and American Society of Civil Engineers Potomac Section.

Mr. Goode is a professional engineer (P.E.) and licensed in Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, and North Carolina. He is also a licensed Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE).
