Overview
This course provides a review of all the recent changes to the laws and rules that govern the practice of engineering in the state of Florida.
The course begins with a brief overview of the sections of the Florida Administrative Code and the Florida Statutes that are applicable to professional engineers, as well as the roles of the Board and the Florida Engineering Management Corporation (FEMC).
The course is divided into five (5) sections.
- 1 - Brief overview of the Florida Administrative Code and Florida Statutes applicable to professional engineers; the role of the Board; and the Florida Engineering Management Corporation (FEMC)
- 2 - Changes to Chapter 455, F.S., Relating to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation made between March 1, 2021 and February 28, 2023
- 3 - Changes to Chapter 471, F.S., The Florida Engineer Licensure Law made between March 1, 2021 and February 28, 2023
- 4 - Changes to Rule 61G15-22.0105(2)(c), The Rules of the Florida Board of Professional Engineers made between March 1, 2021 and February 28, 2023
- 5 - Examples of recent Disciplinary Actions

- Recent changes to Chapter 471, F.S., The Florida Engineer Licensure Law
- Recent changes to Chapter 61G-15, F.A.C., The Rules of the Florida Board of Professional Engineers

- Specifics of the rewrite to 61G15-20, which covers how one can apply to be a licensed professional engineer
- Updates for reciprocal licensing agreements with specified jurisdictions
- Examples of disciplinary cases and unlicensed practice cases
