It was pretty good, a little wordy at times.

This course provided a good overview of PID control. The fundamentals presented will aid in trouble shooting.
John Hagen |
Very nice course covering the basics of PID controllers.
Nolan O'Neal |
Practical explanation of control theory
George Dodge |
Well done, however this should be credited as a 3 PDH course.

I found this course to be a very satisfactory introduction to PID control. I will refer to this reference material frequently.

Content was interesting. I didn't realize there was no audio to go along with the presentation.

Took this course as a refresher from my ME controls course at Purdue in the early 90's. Is this the new math? (It's too hard and time consuming to get the actual answer long-hand, so just make educated guesses.) The terms have changed somewhat as they dumbed down the math. No time domain, frequency domain, root locus, Bode plots. It is just fundamentals. I guess there's too much to learn now. Very wide, not very deep. I forget it anyway since it's been so long, but now it's so different that it's harder to "refresh" than it would be to just learn it from scratch had I never had it in college.

Course provides easily understood examples for the student to get a good understanding of the general principles.
