This was an overview of theory. While there were some examples they were all focused on correct mathematical calculation procedures .I would have liked to had a bit more practical application. Also- a listing of all variables utilized with definitions would have been helpful. I figured out what each variable meant only by combing through numerous diagrams. I would rather of spent my energy understanding the engineering concepts.

minor error in comma on step 7 page 55 in book. Also didn't understand rounding in question 28 or so. One said to round up to the tens place.

For my personal conditions this course proved to be a very useful review of retaining wall design. The test is well designed to measure how much reading one did, and to emphasize the difference that soil charateristics can make on wall stability and also hydrostatic pressure versus drainage (weep holes). The test makes the course a valuable alternative to conferences and courses that would require a lot of expensive traveling to fulfill the PE requirements.
