I had never heard about this failure and was good to learn about.

This was an interesting course topic. I appreciated the pictures provided to aid the reading material. It would have been nice if it had a read a long recording but overall it was good.

Very interesting course. Thanks.

Interesting and informative. And a bit scary.

Informative paper and subject. The information contained within the paper had a good mix of background information with technical discussion to allow for someone not expressly familiar with bridge design or strength of materials to digest.

Very Interesting Read. Some of the items learned in this can be applied to other items that I deal with such as stainless steel structures in waterparks.

This was a good overview of the Silver Bridge failure, well written and detailed enough to understand what caused the failure, which seems to be the primary course objective. It could benefit from some free body diagrams showing the step-by-step change in loading to the bridge truss and suspension structure. The instructor tries to talk through this complicated sequence without giving the reader a clear diagram of the bridge. One photo which could help was Figure 5, but detail is not visible.
